Elise (Roedenbeck) Valderrama is a Peruvian-American stand-up comedian, writer, and producer.

In May of 2013, Valderrama joined the fledging ABC/Univision network, Fusion– helping to launch the network in October of 2013 (her press release via ABC – mention via The Hollywood Reporter). She worked as a correspondent/producer on The Morning Show and later the network’s flagship show, Fusion Live.

Additionally, Valderrama created, produced, and cohosted a political gameshow pilot (Dumocracy) for Fusion– hosted by comedian Cyrus McQueen. Before leaving Fusion in 2015, Valderrama co-wrote and produced a pilot on the science of sexuality with Sex Nerd Sandra– scheduled to air in the fall of 2015.

Previously, Valderrama worked as the New York bureau chief for Pocho.com where she created the quirky political satire web series MiJA Weekly.

Valderrama’s humor has been called kooky, subversive, and sharp.

Born in Lima, Peru to Peruvian parents and Peruvian grandparents, Valderrama moved to the swamplands of Miami as a young child. After earning her BFA in animation, she moved to New York where she began her career as a stand-up comedian. She currently lives in Los Angeles, CA.
